jurassic coast

my friends and family keep planning “the-most-important-events-of-their-life” at a time when i should be doing nothing but designing etc. i have a long list coming up, but the most recent one was a landmark birthday of my mother (i won’t say which one as she might kill me) and so off to Dorset we went for a few days.

a film i had been planning could work in this setting so i high-jacked my sister for two afternoons to make it. this one is about embracing your grief and collecting tears as a part of a ritual.

the light down there was beautiful and hopefully i got something good.. after trying again and again to edit the paris film it proved quite hard. not really sure why.. maybe i took too many pictures so i made a better plan and so took less pictures this time.

i’ve just returned from paris which initially was supposed to be a small break but which thenquickly turned into design work. whilst i may have a life outside of design, i also have quite a guilty conscience. it turned out well really because as i wanted to make a film about how crying makes you a better lover, the backdrop of paris was apt.

i begged my friend isabelle and her boyfriend bertraund to be in my film where they have to do a “sex scene”. now i have 1,500+ photos to edit in to a 2 minute film. aces.
